Who we are.
Telnergy Ltd was incorporated in 2002. We've helped UK businesses procure commercial energy ever since — through deregulation, through the 2021–2023 energy crisis, through Ofgem's ongoing TPI reform, and through every supplier exit and price spike the market has thrown up in between.
We're an Ofgem registered TPI. We're enrolled with the Dispute Resolution Ombudsman (ADR Ref: E3561). We're ISO 50001 certified, members of the Ofgem TPI Working Group, and affiliates of the Energy Institute. We've served more than 600 UK businesses.
BuyEnergyOnline.uk exists because we believe micro-businesses and growing SMEs deserve the same instant, self-serve experience that consumer energy customers have had for twenty years — with the regulatory depth that business energy actually requires.
Why we built it
The self-serve case.
Commercial energy brokerage is phone-first by design. Brokers prefer it: a call lets them control the information, manage the comparison, and steer toward their preferred suppliers.
A transparent, self-serve platform with a flat disclosed fee changes that. You see the quotes. You see our fee. You choose. We process the switch.
The technology to do this — postcode-only data retrieval, digital LOA, online switching — has existed for years. Nobody had combined it with fully regulated TPI infrastructure and a transparent fee model. We have.
