Total transparency · No surprises · Calculate it yourself
1p per kWh.
Its own line on
your contract.
Business energy brokerage has a transparency problem: most brokers bury their commission in your unit rate, where you can't separate it out. We don't. You can calculate our fee in your head — and that's the point.
How it works
One penny per unit.
That's the whole model.
When you switch through BuyEnergyOnline.uk, a fee of 1 penny per kilowatt hour is added to your unit rate by the winning supplier and shown as a distinct line on your contract — before you sign, not buried in the definitions.
The fee is the same whichever supplier you choose. It doesn't change with contract length. It isn't higher for larger customers. One penny per unit consumed.
Your fee at a glance
| Annual consumption | Our fee |
|---|---|
| 10,000 kWh/yr (small office) | £100/yr |
| 30,000 kWh/yr (typical SME) | £300/yr |
| 50,000 kWh/yr | £500/yr |
| 100,000 kWh/yr | £1,000/yr |
| 200,000 kWh/yr | £2,000/yr |
At 50,000 kWh a year, that's £500. On a two-year contract, £1,000 total. Switch off a rollover rate and you'll typically save far more than that on your unit rate alone.
